چکیده

A soccer player often uses the dominant leg during activities and non-dominant is used to support body weight. This may have different effects on postural control between legs in players. Dynamic scores single-stances measured under sensory conditions (eyes open eyes closed) using Biodex Balance System. In comparison independent according normality distribution, t-test Mann-Whitney U test for samples. The duration effects of lumbar extensor muscle fatigue on postural control in soccer players

Background: The ability to maintain body position in space is called postural control. Muscular fatigue created after doing voluntary repeated contractions impairs postural control. Thus, the present study was conducted to compare the effects of fatigue of the lumbar extensor muscles and duration of these effects on postural sway between soccer player and non-athlete participants.  &nbs...

Influence of a Training Session on Postural Stability and Foot Loading Patterns in Soccer Players

Sport specific movements coming along with characteristic plantar pressure distribution and a fatigue of muscles result in an increasing postural sway and therefore lead to a decrease in balance control. Although single soccer specific movements were expatiated with respect to these parameters, no information is available for a complete training session. The objective of the present observation...

Effects of plyometric training on soccer players

Plyometric training (PT) is a technique used to increase strength and explosiveness. It consists of physical exercises in which muscles exert maximum force at short intervals to increase dynamic performances. In such a training, muscles undergo a rapid elongation followed by an immediate shortening (stretch-shortening contraction), utilizing the elastic energy stored during the stretching phase...
